EXPERT seeps into the top layers of the wood and seals the non-drying oils deep within, preventing water absorption, UV damage, cupping, warping, cracking, and loss of color.

Yes! In fact, we specialize in restoring aged wood. Our process includes cleaning, prep, and conditioning to bring old surfaces back to life before staining and sealing.
Do I need to clean my wood before staining?
Absolutely. Proper cleaning and prep are essential for a long-lasting finish. We take care of this for you with a thorough wash and inspection process before applying stain.
What kind of stain do you use?
We use EXPERT® Professional Wood Care stain—our own proprietary, contractor-trusted formula. It’s oil-based, deeply penetrating, and available in transparent, semi-transparent, semi-solid, and solid finishes.
How long does the process take?
Most residential projects take 1–3 days depending on size, weather, and drying time. We’ll give you a clear timeline before we start and keep you updated every step of the way.
Is your stain safe for pets, kids, and plants?
Yes. Our stains are designed to be eco-conscious with low VOCs. Once dry, they are completely safe for your family and outdoor environment.
Can I stain pre-treated wood?
Yes—but timing matters. We recommend waiting 4–6 weeks after installation to allow treated wood to dry fully before staining. We can test moisture levels to ensure the perfect application window.
